Hi everyone, within the next two weeks I will be posting my first completed original song. It's called Save Me and it speaks of the challenges that myself and many of my girlfriend's have faced as "independent" women. While I realize the same can hold true for women; I've observed that men are often more drawn to women they feel need "saving." Maybe it all goes back to the desire to be her "knight in shining armour." I believe we all want to feel "needed' by that special person in our lives. Unfortunately, that often comes from a place of insecurity, not strength. When a woman appears to be able to take care of herself and is successful it can send a message that she doesn't need (or even want) a man in her life. How frustrating! So the message in Save Me is..."Hey, just because I can do all these things on my own doesn't mean I want to!!" It's saying that independent women still have PLENTY of room in their lives for a man and, in many cases, will appreciate him even more because they understand the challenges of having to "provide" which has traditionally been the role reserved for a man.

Hi everyone!

Just an update on Save Me....we fell a little behind schedule by about 2 weeks!!  Good news is we were using the time to revisit another song called Fine with My Life which I was iffy on.  I changed some lyrics, we changed the drums and  I re-recorded vocals so now we are mixing that as well so hopefully I will both ready to post in the next 3 weeks.  Stay tuned!!

Wed Sept 17, 2009:

I am currently working on an EP (3 songs)...the first song to expect is called Save Me.  It speaks of some of the personal challenges I've had with dating (hey, I warned you I tell it like it is, lol!)   It has a definite rock sound and the story is told with some light hearted sarcasm.  I just completed vocals and now we are in the editing and mixing stage.  I am shooting for a mid October date where you will be able to have a listen and let me know what you think!!
